Building teams and products. I’m happy when I’m building anything that makes a real difference in large numbers of lives.
I’m founder/CEO of Spring Discovery, where we’re accelerating the discovery of therapies for aging and its related diseases. I’ve lived with Type 1 Diabetes for 20+ years, feel strong empathy those dealing with health conditions, and am very optimistic about humanity’s ability to battle disease and reduce suffering.
In 2010, I helped start Khan Academy by joining Sal as soon as I saw him chasing his epic mission. Spent 6 years there as an engineer and VP engineering. I was lucky to be a small part of a rare team working on one of the most impactful missions imaginable: a free, high-quality education to all.
Before that I was lucky to learn how to push bits around with small, fast teams at Fog Creek. I spent over 5 years as an intern, developer, and VP of engineering. I soaked up as much as I could from Joel and the crew about how to build great companies and grow product teams.
